Amber Tompkins

Food Editor

Ocala, Florida native Amber Tompkins has always had a passion for good food and classic southern hospitality. The 26 year old Florida State Graduate loves supporting local businesses and trying out local eateries, especially when traveling. She believes that food is a universal language. A true chef, no matter the genre of cuisine, is one who can tell a story through their food. That doesn’t always require expert culinary credentials or merits; sometimes the best meals are the ones made by those who learned in their own environment with the tools they had- nothing fancy, just a burning desire to create something amazing. In this food editor’s opinion, when you can taste the passion in every bite the meal was prepared by a true chef.
