Oh my goodness, I’m so happy to share this newborn photographer logo design (and website) that recently launched for Miss Jody over at JAC Photography! After our initial consultation together, I looked over her questionnaire and saw a pattern in her answers: a little bit of luxe. A touch of boho. And a whole lot of softness. She is my favorite type of client. The kind with a very specific style. Glam (but not too much), meets sleek (but not too edgy), and a little twist of soft cursive for emphasized femininity.
Like almost everyone, she wanted her brand to stand out in the sea of competition. She is a stylized newborn photographer, and with the new explosion of newborn posing she was determined to keep her brand unique and noticeable. Armed with that information, we began the first phase of her project. The Logo Development included the creative development of her typography and logotype, pantone color selection, and signature:

Here’s a peek at some of the initial concepts of her newborn photographer logo design that we flushed out together before circling around and landing on her final brand:
the website design
After Jody’s logo was finalized, we moved right into the design of her brand new website. Her existing site was a portfolio site that was separate from her blog. So our first priority was creating a website that combined the two into one cohesive design. By the time we had reached the website design phase, I knew Jody’s style fairly well. So we introduced the more playful, whimsical elements and really made her brand sing. In an effort to truly make her site stand out among the crowd, I worked with my developer to create a unique text excerpt feature for all blog posts. We also ensured that Jody’s photography was nice and large to put the emphasis where it belongs: on her work. We couldn’t be happier with the final result!
